Auto Electrics Western Bay Ltd are an established business located in the main industrial area of Mount Maunganui.  Whilst Mike and Dianne have owned Auto Electrics Western Bay for the past 23 years, it is Dianne who actively runs the entire business which specialises in Starter Motor, Alternators and Battery repairs, sales and service.  They employ 2 qualified Auto Electricians and have 2 fully equipped workshop vehicles which allows them to make mobile call outs when their customers cannot come to them.  Due to their unique location they cover everything from Motorised Skate boards, Jet Ski's, Cars, Motorbikes and Golf Carts to Trucks, Rollers and Diggers.

Tell me a little about yourself?

Dianne is married to Mike with 2 Adult children and 1 grandchild and lives in the Tauranga region – home of the next Battery Town conference. Dianne runs the Auto Electrical business while Mike (her husband) works as a foreman for Fulton Hogan.  Dianne has a passion for motorsport and as a result drives her own race car and co-drives with others.

How long have you been in the Auto Electrical industry?

Dianne has been in the Auto Electrical industry for the past 24 years.

How long have you been a part of Battery Town?

Dianne has been a part of Battery Town for 15 years.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Dianne says she knows she will keep learning from Battery Town and the motivation it provides is endless as such batteries have become an integral part of her business. Dianne also adds “Battery Town has given so freely to me for so many years that I would welcome to opportunity to do my bit by giving back.”  Dianne is proud of the many friends she has made from the Battery Town network and hopes this may continue in the years to come.
