Tell me a little about yourself?

John is in his Early 40’s, married with 3 children and lives in rural Hawke’s Bay. John moved back to Hawkes Bay (from Auckland) in 2010 for lifestyle reasons having spent many years in Wellington, Auckland, London and the Middle East.  He has travelled to most parts of the world and experienced most sectors of NZ from rural, small town, medium-city to large cities. John has worked in retail banking, finance, debt management and telecommunications/IT prior to purchasing Newport AE with his wife Ruth in 2010. John has Business Management certification and his wife Ruth is a qualified accountant. He has previously managed projects globally and set up an IT consulting company in Auckland.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

John was involved in BT Commercial working group, providing business solution papers to the group. Regularly promotes at the local event of the national jet sprint champs in conjunction with Battery Town branding and representation. Regularly hosts local trade evenings in conjunction with Battery Town and is a sponsor of the local Rescue Helicopter under Newport’s/Battery Town.
