Battery Town Nationwide Warranty
At Battery Town, our batteries are backed by nationwide warranty support, giving you peace of mind wherever you are in New Zealand. Warranty periods range from 6 to 60 months, depending on the battery brand, model and how it’s used. If your battery develops a manufacturing fault within the warranty period, bring it into your nearest Battery Town with proof of purchase. Our team can test the battery, explain what’s covered and help you through the warranty claim process.
Warranty coverage and claims:
Batteries failing due to manufacturing defects within the warranty period can be returned for replacement or refund, requiring proof of purchase and possible testing. The warranty period does not extend with replacements, and customers bear return costs while Battery Town covers replacement batteries if claims are accepted.

Battery testing
A flat or underperforming battery isn’t always caused by a manufacturing defect. Problems with the vehicle’s charging system, electrical equipment or the way the vehicle is used can also affect battery performance. That’s why a Battery Town technician may test the battery before approving a warranty claim. This helps us identify the cause of the problem and determine whether the battery is covered.
Proof of purchase
Please keep your receipt, invoice or other proof of purchase for the full warranty period. Proof of purchase is required to confirm when and where the battery was purchased, the battery model and the warranty period that applies.
